Disney Princess

So, on Thursday, I felt like a total disney princess. Sister Blanchard and I were walking past the temple and a guy jumped out of his mini-van and asked if he could take a picture of us because we were in our costumes. It was really funny. I quite enjoyed the experience. I sort of feel like I am a disney land performer because people stop and wave at us as we drive around on the band wagon. It's very entertaining for us because we're so used to people not paying attention to us at all.

Saturday was opening day, we rode around in the band wagon and actually had an audience for sunset by the mississippi. The crowds were all very nice. Our wagon driver bought us pop at the red brick store and we got free popsicles at the land and records office. Oh! speaking of which. Can you give me family names of people that lived in Nauvoo on the Ellis, Larsen, and Parker sides? I want to look them up. Are we related to a Hannah Barber Ellis? I saw her name on the pioneer memorial as one of the people that died on the trail.

Oh, we were totally attacked by insects on Saturday. Sister Lewis and I killed 2 spiders, had a roach crawl up the side of the sunset wagon in between us, and had a june bug attack us. I haven't been that disgusted in a long time. The june bugs kept falling from the sky during our performance and would get flipped over on the stage and would flail around. Do the june bugs go away or am I stuck with them for another 3 months?

Quote for the day: I said this after sunset rehearsal on thursday "I smell like manure, sweat, and deet"

Bug bite count: 3
